Sachin Khona - Custom Preset
National Geographic worthy. Oh yes, I went there. Everything about this image is so inviting. That light hitting the monk, the tones, the composition, the discipline in his concentration and the stacked books. Sachin specifically chose a simple edit which really compliments documentary photography and keeps it authentic and subject driven. The rest of the set of images were so good too, which brings me to my plea - more documentary photography please! - Amy-Leigh Atkins

This image has Martin Parr written all over it. I love the simplicity, the peacfulness, the juxtaposition; how there is no one laying on the entire beach, but yet someone is laying on the hard concrete wall. The couple on the lifeguard stand......Perfect capture. Gallery worthy. - Ari Dorfman

I honestly stopped looking at more photos after I saw this. It simply stood out from the rest as I was scrolling -- very different from what we see regularly. I just thought it was an amazing capture. - Max Oishi

The expression. The composition. The blue tones. It's just a beautifully constructed photograph. - Jacob Loafman

So many things in this image are so beautiful. The texture of the snow on the trees. The complementary colors. It feels so silent. Like there would be no sound. Only the photographer, the sunset and the woods. It's true beauty to me. - Sven Malojlo

Where I am, it’s Summer - but it certainly feels cooler when I look at this image. What I like about it is the classic feel to the black and white - what you’d see from Master photographers Henry Cartier, Roy DeCarava, Peter Marlow. I love the tonal contrast, and the blacks are so elegantly controlled - it’s a clean image. There is so much grace here - the endurance of a child and guardian walking in the snow wearing thick clothing - at a slight distance you see a hint of bonfire in the street. I can imagine it to be very very cold. - Julianna Koh Blackwell

The look on the face of the dog is priceless! You can totally feel his emotion and that he is not very pleased to take a shower now. This almost feels like a scene from a movie. - Lukas Piatek
