From a young age Pablo Beglez always knew photography was in his blood. His mother had other plans, but he kept true to his heart and with no regrets headed down the path of career photographer. A path well chosen because Pablo is the best of the bests. Pablo tells us how he went from good to great and how you can too with some perseverance and dedication.
How did you learn photography?
As I've told here before, photography has always been very present at home. My family were big fans, so I grew up smelling all the chemicals involved in the process of photography. I soon realized that I wasn't a letters and numbers fan, and spent all my hours in class drawing pictures and traveling in my mind to places where I've never been.
Thing is, my mom wanted me to study something "secure" and then she would let me decide if I could pick between that or photography. I studied to be a nurse and then focused on photography 100%. I went to Barcelona and studied at the GrisArt School.
What year was the "then pictures taken in?
Between 2010 - 2011.
What did you do to better your photography skills?
I have always invested my time and money in learning from anyone, sometimes things that I'm not even going to do but I need to know them to keep growing my business. Education is the base to everything and that is why I also like to share what I have learned along the way.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a new photographer to help them excel in their craft?
Consistency is key. I know that this is pretty hard at the beginning when you aren't getting the type of work you want to showcase, but even in these situations always try to take a few photos just for you. I always say that at the start its like 90% client and 10% you, that is why you have to work your butt off to get 90% you and 10% client. If you are consistent in what you show, people will hire you out of security and you will start getting the clients you were looking for.
