Some words from Brett about his narrative:
I traveled to Haiti on a medical relief trip with a group of nurses and physician's assistants back in 2012 as the team photographer. I photographed mostly in the clinics while patients were receiving care so the organization would have great images to show everyone back home what they were doing. I was able to take many portraits during my stay, which turned out to be my favorite part of the whole experience. Haiti is full of many friendly people who are genuinely happy, even though they are one of the poorest countries in the world.
