It's time for another week of Missed the Train - Staff Picks. We continue to be astonished by the amount of talent in our community and thank you all for sharing your artwork with us. Please leave some love for the following artists in the comments.
Antoine Melis - Custom
Though a simple image, I imagine it’s not easy to photograph fish and ice (if it is real ice) in this combination and document details of the scales and ice so well. Food photography, when done well (in a non-lifestyle manner), documents the food we eat, how we eat it and especially in a time like this where nature continues to fade from people's immediate experience, what it really looks like. - Julianna Koh Blackwell

I'm so glad the photographer chose monochrome for this. The impact would not be the same in color. The way her beautiful, smooth skin gets interrupted by the string.........breathtaking!!! - Titilola Samuel
Fabio Oliveira - Portra 400

I love the tones. How the lines lead into the guy in the middel. And i am just totaly in love with 24mm right now. - Sven Malojlo

I chose this image because I feel that it sends a powerful message. A soldier praying for peace. It may seem ironic, but I think that, sometimes, people find themselves in situations that escape their control. This just shows that we're all human, and we do care. - Max Oishi
Liam Warton - Fuji Superia 200
This image has a sense of timelessness and isolation which I love. The way Liam composed the image creates a certain narrative of the subject and I want to know and see more. Beautifully crafted. - Amy-Leigh Atkins
Matt Stallone - Custom Preset

The story this image tells is all at once bleak, yet full of promise. - Seth Langner
Nathalie Brunner - Ilford HP5

I love the mood of this image and how it makes you think about what is going on. Why is this woman alone in a dark alley. Is she hiding from someone? Does she seem scared? Is she waiting for someone? Is she on the prowl? What exactly is she doing? Also it seems a little off that a woman would be alone in an alleyway smoking a cigarette like this, but yet she seems so elegant. Such a great photo and story. - Ari Dorfman
Oier Aso - Portra 160
I love this image because there are so many things going on. It's fun to dissect it all. It's wonderful. - Jacob Loafman
San Bribriblibli - VSCO Cam M5

I chose this image because I think the story is so cinematic. Looks like two people saying hello or goodbye and nothing around them matters. Very cool story telling; somber, romantic and beautiful leading lines. - Jarrett Hucks
Jean-Philippe Meurice - Kodak Ultramax 800 Cool
I just love the intimacy and the simplicity of this image. The posing is very natural in my eyes and it makes the image very sensual. The attention of the viewer is automatically directed to the brightest spot in the image, which is her face and I simply adore her look and the way the light touches her face. Normally I'm not into those kind of images but this one definitely makes me want to see more. - Lukas Piatek
