How the image came to happen !
There is nothing in the world more amazing than witnessing the birth of a baby. I get to witness it more than most people, but it never gets less exciting! This birth was no different. This mom pushed through all her fears. She walked, she talked, she smiled and laughed. Her sweet baby was born in the early hours of the morning. As soon as she pulled her up to her chest I snapped this photo. It's like they were both waiting for this moment for what seemed like a lifetime. I'm so thankful I was there to capture this moment. I know I will never forget it!
Thank you for choosing me for Image of the Week. I'm so honored to be featured on such an awesome website with so many amazing talented photographers. I love Looks like Film, you all inspire me!

How did you edit this fantastic image?
Taken in almost complete dark! I bumped exposure up 2.60, I applied preset Kodak T-MAX 3200, turned the grain off, added luminance, brushed exposure on the faces, added highlights and shadows and a slight curves adjustment.
