10 Questions: Zalmy Berkowitz

Zalmy Berkowitz's artistic vision describes rhythm and movement amongst the chaos of life’s candid moments. His film work makes you fall in love with analog all over again.

10 Questions: Bob Sala

Meet Bob Sala. You might have come across his work - cinematic 60s-70s ambient stills that remind you of your mother’s childhood (or for some, your own). His (portrait) images go beyond making a fashion statement on a particular era; they tell a story of society and culture.

10 Questions: Vittore Buzzi

Milan based photojournalist Vittore Buzzi's photography is fuelled by the search to understand and accept reality - which translates into an exceptional eye for capturing moments and stories.

Let us Love

To the sky

We have been to this place many times to watch some amazing sunsets... but we never tried to hike the cliffs... The sunset is even more amazing with the huge heights and the fear... of course we needed a crazy soon to be bride and groom to do this crazy idea with us. We are not the same after this experience.

We simply fell in love with this amazing engagement session, shot by Don & Helen Bringas. They went to Pico Las Nieves on Gran Canaria with their amazing couple Irene & Cedric. A place so unreal and beautiful, it is really hard to describe. Don & Helen used a 5D Mark II and a 5D Classic with the 35 and 50mm Art lenses and the Canon 85mm 1.8 to pull of this stunning session. Every single shot was underexposed as the sun was setting to have as much detail as possible.

Neon

Stockholm based artist Liam Warton shows us a perfect example of a very unique and artistic same sex engagement session.

One week prior to Borja & Thomas wedding we decided to meet up and take some portraits. We spent the afternoon stopping at different spots around Stockholm and trying to create a series of honest portraits with a creative composition. I have wanted to use some of these locations for a while now, and I have to thank the couple for giving me the creative freedom to do this.

They met each other in Barcelona approximately 10 years ago when Thomas was living and studying in Spain. And a couple of years ago they decided to move to Stockholm. Their wedding was held the next weekend in the centre of Stockholm and Borja's close friends and family flew over for the celebration. The melting pot of cultures at this wedding created a warm atmosphere that compensated for the storm outside.

All images were shot on my Sony a7 (which I purchased the morning of the shoot) with voigtlander 28mm f2 or my old Canon Serenar 50mm 1.8 ltm. Then edited in lightroom using Kodak Portra160 plus Alien Skin Exposure for grain and sharpening.

Joshua Tree

It was nothing less than life doing art

A beautiful set of images created by Marshal Gray at his Dare Experience WOrkshop

When I set about creating the Palm Springs Dare Experience in California I always knew we would make our way to Joshua Tree at some stage.

When I arrived I was completely blown away. It was nothing less than life doing art.

What is for sure is that the experience wouldn’t have been anyway near as profound if it wasn’t for the guys that were with me. We kicked some photography ass for sure.

Our models for the day were Trig & Olivia who had pulled out all the stops to get to us from Los Angelas, last minute, after our original couple pulled out.

A big thanks to my Claudia for doing all the work on the ground with this.

These guys are the coolest cats we could have lucked upon and they worked with us to create some truly magical pictures.
