10 Questions: Zalmy Berkowitz

Zalmy Berkowitz's artistic vision describes rhythm and movement amongst the chaos of life’s candid moments. His film work makes you fall in love with analog all over again.

10 Questions: Bob Sala

Meet Bob Sala. You might have come across his work - cinematic 60s-70s ambient stills that remind you of your mother’s childhood (or for some, your own). His (portrait) images go beyond making a fashion statement on a particular era; they tell a story of society and culture.

10 Questions: Vittore Buzzi

Milan based photojournalist Vittore Buzzi's photography is fuelled by the search to understand and accept reality - which translates into an exceptional eye for capturing moments and stories.

Find the Girls on the Negatives - UPDATE

#FindTheGirlsOnTheNegatives

That is the hashtag crated by Looks Like Film Artist Meagan Irene Abell which hopefully should help her find the women on these images. But why???

Meagan found a box of vintage negatives in a thrift shop in Richmond, VA. No one knows where the box comes from and no one knows who the women on theses images are. Meagan was able to scan the negatives and what she discovered is simply amazing. We do not know lot about the images, but they are most likely from the 1940's - 1950's, when looking at the beautiful dresses. It is our mission to help Meagan and find informations about theses images. It worked with Vivian Maier once, so why shouldn't the Internet be able to pull it off again.

The most important thing for me is finding out what the story is behind the photos ! Community is really important and without it, i more than likely wouldn’t even have a chance of finding the original owner. That is what photographic art is all about. Help me find the owner !

If you have any informations, don't hesitate and contact us over at lookslikefilmpage@gmail.com with the topic #FindTheGirlsOnTheNegatives and we will be happy to help Meagan solve this little mystery.

Dutch Photographer Benjamin van Essen got lucky to photograph a pretty awesome wedding in Amsterdam on the 30th of May. Eline and Jochem are a pretty cool couple and Amsterdam was offering some pretty cool spots for photos. Most images were shot on a 5D Mark III and Sigma 35mm and 85mm lenses. There are also some freelensed ones with the 50mm.
